Drakelow Unearthed
Extras

These are shots that were intended as background images or 'incidental' shots but were not eventually included.

A very low resolution, enlarged version of this shot was actually used for the background of pages 8-15. I planned to include this shot in its own right but didn't really have anywhere to put it.

Page 23 - This is one of the anti-nuclear protest signs from inside tunnel 4's time office. It was planned to use this or the next shot as the background to pages 16-23. It proved too dark and 'contrasty*' and so was not used. There was no space to use it in its own right.

(* not sure if that's a real word!)

Page 23 - Another anti-nuclear protest sign from the same place. This, or the previous shot was intended as the background shot for pages 24 - 35 but was not used for similar reasons to the previous shot.

Page 12 - The door to the Aeronautical Inspectors Directorate office. Intended as possible background or 'incidental' shot, but not used.

Door to the clerks office. Intended as possible background or 'incidental' shot, but not used.

Planned as an alternative background for the WWII section, but not used. This could be WWII, but may be from the 1950's tank engine production era.

Final View Foremans Office door. Intended as possible background or 'incidental' shot, but not used.

Door to the Works Tea Service.Intended as possible background or 'incidental' shot, but not used.
This sign appears in several places and dates from the 1940's factory. Again intended as possible background or 'incidental' shot, but not used.

A more modern version of the above sign, probably from the R.S.G. era. Intended as possible background or 'incidental' shot, but not used.

Extra shots for page 35
